In his book, author Ibrahim bin Abdulrahman Al-Mutawa talked about the poet Ubaid bin Abdullah bin Abdullah bin Hamza bin Muhammad bin Muhammad bin Muhammad Al-Madani, as Ubaid is considered a first-class poet according to the standards of his time, and he was awarded the leadership medal among 34 writers, after his participation in the first conference of writers in Mecca in 1394 AH.
He believed in journalism and the impact of its message on society: He also published in Al-Manhal magazine some of his prose works, including interviews, articles, studies and translations in history, language, biographies, thought and sociology. His journalistic contributions were not limited to Umm Al-Qura newspaper and Al-Manhal magazine, but included (Sawt Al-Hijaz, Al-Balad, Akaz, Al-Arab magazine and Al-Madinah, in which he had a historical corner entitled: The Questioners' Field) through which he answered historical questions about the history of Medina, as well as another corner entitled: Thoughts of the Week. In addition to the Egyptian newspaper Al-Riyadh and the Lebanese magazine Al-Arfan.
Ubayd Madani collected his poems in a diwan called (Al-Madaniyat Al-Sughra) in 1345 AH. His sons took over the printing of the diwan some time after their father's death, and the diwan was published in 1406 AH under the title: (Al-Madaniyat).
Obaid Madani has written and printed works and research on the history of Medina, including the history of the Sacred Chamber, the history of the Prophet's Mosque, the history of Medina, the history of Medina, the mosques of Medina and the emirs of Medina.
Obaid Madani died suddenly in Cairo on Wednesday, 10/11/1396 AH. His body was transported to Medina, prayers were offered at the Prophet's Mosque, and he was buried in Baqa' al-Ghurqad in Medina. His only brother, Amin Madani, eulogized him with a poem, and a number of close friends and writers also eulogized him.
