The book Akhbar al-Quds (News of Judges) by Lukayyah begins with what was narrated from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and from the companions and followers, may Allah have mercy on them, regarding the severity of the judiciary, the dislike of it, the fleeing from it, and the fear of applying for it, and then mentions what was narrated regarding those who judged with truth, those who judged unjustly, those who judged what they did not know, those who took bribes in the judiciary, who should be appointed as a judge and a judge, and what came about regarding those who asked and interceded in the judiciary.
