In his book From Mecca to Cannes: The Cinema of Abdullah Al-Muhaysen, author Ibrahim Al-Ariss explained the spiritual and religious influence that director Abdullah Al-Muhaysen employed in religious films in a contemporary language for the generations, and thus the book carried in its content the director's work in reflecting the intellectual and cultural image in his artistic works.
