يقول المؤلف الدكتور عبده الراجحي في كتابه: “فالذي لا شك فيه أن كثرة كثيرة من الناس تشكو من درس النحو العربي، ومما تعانيه من الكد في سبيل إتقانه وإقامة ألسنتها وأقلامها عليه. وعجيب أمر هذه اللغة المفترى عليها، وعجيب أمر نحوها. فمنذ فجر الحضارة العربية نهض أصحاب هذه اللغة يدرسونها ويضعون القوانين التي تحكمها حتى إننا لا نعرف لغة اهتم بها أصحابها قدر ما لقيت العربية من اهتمام، ومنذ عصر الخلفاء الراشدين رضوان الله عليهم والعلماء يتتابعون واحداً في إثر واحد ومدرسة بعد مدرسة، في إنشاء النحو العربي وتطويره وتأصيله، حتى بلغ مرحلة من النضج العلمي والوضوح المنهجي لم يبلغها علم آخر”.
