About the author:
Dr. Salah Al-Din Al-Hawari studied in a tent school set up by the Opera in the camp, then he moved to the Ibn Khaldun School and obtained his official certificate in 1962, then he returned again to the camp school and obtained a high primary certificate from it, and when he moved to high school and finished the sixth grade from it, that was in 1968.
He then enrolled in the Vocational Training Institute ”Siblin” and obtained a diploma in wire transportation in 1970, and during this period he was also studying alone to obtain a high school diploma in the literary branch in 1969, after which he dropped out of school for nine years, during which time he qualified to work in different fields from his professional studies, but his desire to pursue his studies prompted him to return to them, and he obtained his high school diploma in 1979.
He then obtained a bachelor's degree in Arabic language and literature from the Lebanese University in 1983, and obtained a postgraduate degree in 1988, entitled “Poetry and Poets in the Book of Al-Omda in the Book of the Improved Poetry, Literature and Criticism,” and then attended and obtained his doctorate in Arabic language and literature in 1994, under the title “The Poets of the Craft in the Mamluk Era.”.
