About the author:
He was a librarian at Cairo University and a teacher at the Islamic Charitable Society School, and his writings focused on history and education.
Muhammad Rida's works on Islamic history are valuable in their own right, as they dealt with an important period of time that was a hotbed for Orientalists and weak-minded people who are familiar with poison in honey.
The author dealt in his series of five books: The biography of the Prophet Muhammad, the Rashidin Caliphs, and the Hassan and Hussein, all of which are presented in a sweet and delicate style that attracts the reader to follow the events until he reaches the end. Despite the importance of this series, it did not receive the required attention, and its previous editions were not well organized and perfected, and had many typographical errors, in addition to not being edited.
In the modern era, a large group of historical writings appeared that dealt with history in general or the biography of the Prophet and his companions in particular. Among these works are the writings of Ustad Muhammad Rida, which are distinguished by several things, the most important of which is that they include narrating historical facts and reviewing various narratives in an attractive, easy and enjoyable storytelling style in which scientific information is intertwined with the clarity of the structure and ease of understanding.
It is no secret that Ustad Muhammad Reda focused in this series of books on showing the lessons, lessons and sermons learned from the biography of the Prophet and the biographies of his companions to serve as an example for new generations and all those who read them, noting that he died in Cairo in 1369 AH.
