This book was first printed in India in 1357 AH under the title “The sufficient answer for those who asked about the healing medicine”, then it was printed in Cairo in two different editions with the same title, and this title became famous, and perhaps the first edition that violated it was the one produced by Sheikh Muhammad Muhyiddin Abdul Hamid in 1377 AH in Cairo with the title “Al-Daa wa al-Dawaa”, but in the same year another edition was also issued in Cairo by Sheikh Mahmoud Abdul Wahab Fayed, may Allah have mercy on him, with the first title. People were familiar with this title, and perhaps they liked it because of its easy rhyming, so most of the editions of this book were labeled with it.
