The writer Dr. Abdul Aziz bin Ahmad bin Muhsin al-Humaidi says in his book: “Throughout the history of our nation, the knights of the word have competed in the field of talking about the caliph of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and the friend of the nation, Abu Bakr, and what a vast and spacious field, for which the masters of speech have devoted their best pens, spent their precious resources, and brought their horses and men, gathering in his arenas the decades of meanings, but they did not reach a tenth of “two seconds when they were in the cave” [al-Tawbah: 40, and how can a creature swallow it when the letters are too many and the literary people are unable to do so? It is just as Allah (may peace be upon him) said: “No one has a hand with us but we have rewarded him, except for Abu Bakr, but he has a hand with us that Allah will reward him with on the Day of Judgment, and no one's money ever benefited me as much as Abu Bakr's money did, and if I were to take a boyfriend, I would take Abu Bakr as a boyfriend, and your friend is Allah's boyfriend."The Qur'an is sufficient for the friend as an equivalent, and the praise of Him who knows the destinies of His creatures only... ".
