The book Ithaf al-Abbad on the Hadiths on which Ibn al-Qayyim spoke in Zad al-Mu'ad was written by Khalid Salem Muhammad al-Ansari, a well-known Kuwaiti writer and one of the most important literary figures in Kuwait.
