About the Author
Mazen Al-Mubarak is a PhD, professor and scholar in Arabic language and literature, a member of the Arabic Language Academy in Damascus, and has taught at Damascus University, Riyadh University, and the Lebanese University.
He was born in Damascus in 1930 AD, from a scholarly family. His grandfather, Sheikh Muhammad al-Tayeb al-Mubarak, emigrated from Algeria with Prince Abdel Qader al-Jazairy and settled in Damascus.
He earned a bachelor's degree in arts and secondary education from Damascus University, a master's degree and a doctorate in arts from Cairo University, and taught at Damascus University, Riyadh University, and the Lebanese University.
He worked as head of the Arabic Language Department at the College of Islamic and Arabic Studies at Dubai University, head of the Arabic Language Department at Qatar University, member of the Research and Studies Association, working member of the Arabic Language Academy in Damascus in 2002, and now in Damascus he works as a teacher at the Al-Sham Higher Institute.
